Teaching Line, Angle, and Triangle Proofs Using CanFigureIt Geometry – Webinar

Welcome to Geometric Proof Season!

Join us for this 30 minute webinar to learn about how an experienced math educator uses CanFigureIt Geometry when teaching lines, angles, and triangle congruence.

CanFigureIt Geometry is a FREE web-based resource that enables high school students to work through geometric proofs independently and interactively. It’s a great resource to use in a remote learning environment, especially as we enter proof season!

In this webinar, we will:

  • Demonstrate how to work through CanFigureIt Geometry activities with your students in a digital learning setting.
  • Hear directly from experienced educators on how they incorporate CanFigureIt Geometry in their classrooms when teaching lines, angles, and triangle proofs
  • Share some best practices and teacher resources to support you as you enter proof season (videos, guides, lesson plans)!

Proof Ninja Brittany Lansford has been teaching high school math for the last 8 years. She enjoys that CanFigureIt Geometry allows geometry teachers to really focus on the mathematical practice “Attending to Precision”, and loves teaching a lesson, doing proofs the “old” way, and then allowing students the freedom to complete proofs in CanFigureIt Geometry. Brittany teaches at her Alma Mater–in the exact room she learned Geometry in. She loves attending math conferences and bringing new & innovative uses of technology into her classroom to further engage students in their mathematical journeys.
